Alberta's Promise is a movement to facilitate Partnerships between communities, businesses, services clubs, foundations and agencies to work together to direct more resources to benefit our children and youth.

The Canada Benefits Web site is your Internet doorway to government-wide information about benefit programs and services for individuals. Canada Benefits is run by the Government of Canada.

On the Canada Benefits Web site, you can find information about federal, provincial, and territorial benefit programs and services for individuals. More specifically, you can find out about

The Alberta Child Care Accreditation Program
This website provides an overview of the Alberta Child Care Accreditation Program and provides responses to frequently asked questions about this initiative.

Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement of Early Learning and Care Services

ARCQE develops programs and services to enhance the ability of early learning and care services to meet the needs of the children and families of Alberta. ARCQE delivers specialized training and professional development for Child Care Services and for Parent Link Centres.  In addition, ARCQE facilitates collaboration and connections among Parent Link Centres, Child Care Services, Child and Family Service Authorities and other community agencies.  

National Child Care Information Centre
This is the website of the American Child Care Bureau in the Department of Health and Human Resources, the department which administers federal child care programs. The site includes excellent information on current child care research in the Untied States (with many posted research reports), State child care profiles, government initiatives, the Child Care Bulletin, and a long list of links to American child care organizations.

Early Childhood Research and Practice
This website is a peer-reviewed electronic journal sponsored by ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education of the University of Illinois covering topics related to the development, care and education of children from birth to eight. This site emphasized articles reporting on practice-related research and development, and on issues related to practice, parent participation and policies.

Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood
This website contains online international journals on Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood with a focus on education research.

Connect for Kids
Provides solutions oriented coverage of critical issues for children and families including child care and early development.
